BATAM,RMNEWS.ID – Dalam sebuah operasi yang dilakukan oleh Tim Subdit Gakkum (Sub Direktorat Penegakan Hukum) Ditpolairud (Direktorat Polisi Perairan dan Udara) Polda Kepulauan Riau, berhasil menangkap 13 orang pelaku pencurian besi plat. Pencurian ini terjadi di wilayah perairan Janda Berias, Kelurahan Tanjung Riau, Kecamatan Sekupang, Kota Batam, Provinsi Kepri.
Berdasarkan laporan polisi dengan nomor LP-A/16/V/2023/SPKT.Ditpolairud/Polda Kepulauan Riau tanggal 28 Mei 2023, Subdit Tim Gakkum Polda Kepri menerima informasi mengenai tindak pidana pencurian plat besi. Menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut, tim melakukan penyelidikan intensif di kawasan PT. MB yang berada di perairan Janda Berias.
Pukul 13.30 WIB, tepatnya di koordinat 1º7.171” N 103º55.042” E, tim berhasil mengamankan 13 orang pelaku yang sedang melakukan pencurian besi plat. Penangkapan tersebut dilakukan bersamaan dengan penemuan 4 unit Speedboat Pancung Kayu Tanpa Nama yang digunakan para pelaku untuk mengangkut hasil curian. Keempat speedboat tersebut dilengkapi dengan mesin tempel merk Yamaha 1X15 PK.
Plh. Kasubdit Gakkum Ditpolairud Polda Kepri, AKBP Yudi Sukmayadi, S.H., mengungkapkan bahwa barang bukti yang diamankan dalam operasi ini meliputi 1 unit Speedboat Pancung Kayu Tanpa Nama berwarna Abu-Abu dengan list Merah yang dinakhodai oleh pelaku berinisial R, 4 unit kompresor, 4 potong besi plat scrap, 6 tabung oksigen selam, 1 unit Speedboat Pancung Kayu Tanpa Nama berwarna Abu-Abu dengan list Merah yang dinakhodai oleh pelaku alias Ribo, 1 unit Speedboat Pancung Kayu Tanpa Nama berwarna Abu-Abu dengan list Merah yang dinakhodai oleh pelaku alias A, 1 unit Speedboat Pancung Kayu Tanpa Nama berwarna Oren yang dinakhodai oleh pelaku berinisial I, 1 buah pelampung, 4 unit handphone, 4 unit kacamata selam, 12 drum besi, dan 4 buah selang kompresor.
“Para pelaku dan barang bukti kemudian diamankan dan diadakan pengangkutan dari kawasan PT. MB menuju Dermaga Ditpolairud Polda Kepri Sekupang Batam untuk proses pemeriksaan lebih lanjut. Para pelaku akan dijerat dengan Pasal 363 ayat (1) butir 4 jo Pasal 55 ayat (1) ke-1 KUHP tentang tindak pidana pencurian dengan pemberatan”. Tegas Plh.
